Airbnb Magazine launched in May of 2017 (originally as Airbnbmag). Since then, it has grown to a circulation of nearly 1.5 million distributed to hosts across North America and won numerous awards. Airbnb Magazine celebrates humanity wherever it exists—across borders, time zones, languages, and skin tones. Our mission is to help people be at home in the world; to spotlight areas of commonality and connection and to document those fleeting glimpses of transformation and belonging.

I led and developed art direction, design systems and overall style for the print magazine and marketing materials, ensuring that the essence of the Airbnb brand (voice and tone, design principles, values etc.) was maintained across all touchpoints. This work was done in partnership with Hearst Communications, and required intricate collaboration and relationship building with our partners.
